The basic care that you are giving your own body by eating well, exercising you body and mind, not smoking, not using illegal drugs and wearing your seat belt are some of the best preventative measures that you can be doing. He does tell you that there is no guarantee that you will not get Alzheimer's disease but he is comfortable with the knowledge that you practice so much medical prevention in your daily life. The only thing that you can do is to continue taking care of yourself and doing everything that the doctor recommends. There are no guarantees in life regardless of the number of immunizations you get or how much you diet and exercise. There are just some things that are beyond our control. If you take the time to make sure that you take care of yourself you might be able to prevent Alzheimer's from attacking your body. Do not sit around worrying about your health. Try to relax, have a good time and enjoy life to its fullest. Keep traveling and enjoying the sights and sounds of the world as you go from place to place. Worrying about the 'what ifs' will not help you avoid anything. The prevention of Alzheimer's or any other disease is something that you only can hope and pray for. |
